Gracious God, your Spirit spoke in the depth of Sophie’s heart and gave her the courage to act with compassion and generosity. We pray that following in her footsteps we might be freer and more passionate in our response as you call us to be your presence in the chaos and the pain of our time. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever. Amen.
